Stop burning Fossil Fuels

Please come to this Workshop to know more about Non-Renewable energy and how you can prevent making it worse. 1 human can't make that much change but if you pass this to others you might make a big change with everyone else. Here is an artical about fossil fuels. "88200 02: Spectators on Signal Hill watch as toxic smoke blows over downtown Long Beach, CA, April 23, 2001, from a fire at the Tosco oil refinery in Carson, 15 miles south of Los Angeles. The refinery was running at full capacity, around 125,000 barrels of oil per day, when a blaze broke out in the ''coker'' unit, where petroleun coke is burned in the making of gasoline. Lost production could add to the recent spike in gasoline prices, which analysts say could hit $3 a gallon or more. (Photo by David McNew/Newsmakers)." Because of this problem using Non-Renewable energy(Fossil Fuels) Global warming is getting worse because of the greenhouse gases and in the future we might not be able to see the sun because the greenhouse gases will cover up the earth. Then the temperature will be unbalanced as there will be not enough sun power to balance the temperature. If this keeps going on the sun might really be gone.

You can see in this video why you have to try to stop burning fossil fuels

There are Non-Renewable energy. There are types of
Non-Renewable energy. There are petroleum, natural gas,
coal, uranium, and propane.38.1 percent uses petroleum, 22.9 percent uses natural gas,
23.2 percent uses coal, 8.1 percent uses Uranium, 1.7 percent uses Propane

Book:
Morgan, Sally. The Pros and Cons of Coal, Gas, and Oil. New York: n.p., n.d.Print.
This resource is good Because it told me all the things that is bad about using Coal, Gas,and
Oil, Also It tells about the connects to the environment.

Ollhoff, Jim. Fossil Fuels. N.p.: n.p., n.d. Print.
This resource is good because it told me How it was formed and also told me about Coal, Oil,
Natural Gas. It also told me how it should be fixed

Internet:

This resource told me the sources for the fossil fuels and how they were formed so now I know
where fossil fuel are formed

This resource told me where oil is located and why the countries fight over the fossil fuels.

This resource told me about every types of non-renewable energy and i could get more new
information so it helped me develop my thinking.

This resource told me that Wind Powers(Renewable Energy) is not always working as the
wind isn't always blowing so that they had to increase the capacity of using gas, oil, nuclear
power and etc.

This video was expressing the use of our Non-Renewable energy such as throwing away
garbage and burning it, Using cars, and Factories and the smoke, carbon Dioxide, and
other bad stuff in the air gets united and the world gets black. From this video I learned
not to ride car if necessary.

(P) Define your topic: write a statement
(thesis) that clearly shows your research.
Non-Renewable Energy is destroying earth natural cycle by getting fossil Fuels and burning
them which makes Global Warming
(P) Form questions:
  • Form - What is it like?
  • Function - How does it work?
  • Causation - Why is it like it is?
  • Change - How is it changing?
  • Connection - How is it connected to?
  • Who, What? Where, When, Why,
  • How, What if? How? So what?
