Excerpts:

  • In certain disadvantaged areas, however, such as the rural South in the United States, the illiteracy rate is much higher.(http://www.questia.com/library/encyclopedia/illiteracy.jsp)
    • This source taught me a new information. Maybe, I can read more and find out some more good information. It was really useful because vocabularies were easy enough to understand and there explanations were clear.

Websites:

  • What Are The Causes Of Illiteracy? - Blurtit(http://www.blurtit.com/q376196.html)
    • This site is useful because I can find variety of reasons which causes Illiteracy. I didn't know that there could be many different things which can cause illiteracy. So, if we solve all the problems which cause illiteracy, can we solve the illiteracy problem?

The website on the above screenshot was useful because it taught me what the literacy is, but the words are little hard for me to understand. I didn't get much information from this site. The book below had very little amount of information, but it was pretty useful. I could understand what it was about, and the content and the glossary at the front and back of the book helped me to find the information that I need.
